Discover the musical dialogue between two generations of the Bach family in this elegant concert by Il Capo Baroque Ensemble. The programme features expressive works by J.S. Bach and his second son Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach, showcasing both the High Baroque mastery of the father and the pioneering early Classical voice of the son.
The ensemble performs refined trio sonatas and other works led by Asako Ogawa on harpsichord, with baroque flute, violin, viola da gamba and cello. A children's workshop and masterclass precedes the concert, offering young musicians the chance to engage with these composers' works directly.
Performances at St Bartholomew's Church, Sydenham on 25 October – Sunday. Children's workshop and masterclass at 5:00 pm, concert at 6:00 pm. Tickets: Adults £15 (£12 advance online) / Under 16 years £5. Online streaming option available for 5 days at £10.
