A one-day hybrid course on Doppler ultrasound in obstetrics and maternal-fetal medicine, led by Professor Asma Khalil. This clinically focused, case-based programme combines focused lectures, real clinical scenarios and hands-on rotating stations to help participants develop both the technical expertise to obtain accurate Doppler waveforms and the clinical confidence to interpret findings in practice.
The curriculum covers Doppler physiology and technique, uterine artery Doppler and maternal assessment, Doppler in fetal growth restriction and twin pregnancy, ductus venosus and venous Doppler, and detailed case discussions of FGR, pre-eclampsia, TTTS (twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome), congenital infection and fetal anaemia. On-site participants benefit from rotating practical stations including uterine artery Doppler, umbilical artery Doppler, MCA Doppler and ductus venosus assessment.
The course is designed for obstetricians, gynaecologists, maternal-fetal medicine specialists, fetal medicine consultants, trainees, obstetric sonographers, midwives with an interest in fetal surveillance and clinicians involved in prenatal diagnosis and high-risk pregnancy management. All eligible participants receive a certificate of attendance.
