A major three-day gathering exploring the frontiers of brain-inspired computing hardware and its potential to revolutionise artificial intelligence. As AI computational demands escalate unsustainably—doubling every 2-3 months—neuromorphic systems offer a path forward, delivering dramatic energy efficiency gains without sacrificing performance.
The event splits into two complementary tracks. The Discussion Meeting (23-24 November) convenes leading academic researchers to examine fundamental advances and emerging challenges across materials, devices, systems and applications, building new collaborations across disciplines. The Transforming our Future event (25 November) shifts focus to real-world translation, broader impacts and the technology's future trajectory.
Prominent speakers include Professor Stephen Furber CBE FREng FRS, Professor Judith Driscoll FREng FRS, Professor Stuart Parkin FREng FRS, Dr Sebastian C Dixon and Professor Tony Kenyon. Participants may attend any or all three days according to their interests.
