Celebrate the worldwide launch of "Magic in the Mundane," a feature-length documentary exploring wonder and consciousness in everyday life. Filmed across stunning landscapes and intimate spaces, the film brings together philosophers, writers, psychedelic guides, death doulas, trauma workers, ritual keepers, and spiritual practitioners to investigate where miracles hide in plain sight.
The documentary ventures into consciousness itself, examining whether artificial minds might perceive the sacred, how psychedelics dissolve boundaries between self and transcendence, and what death teaches us as a threshold rather than an ending. It explores how trauma reshapes spiritual understanding, follows modern and ancient pilgrims on their quests for meaning, and investigates ceremony and ritual as paths to reconnection. Through pantheism and paganism, the film asks how divinity moves through the natural world.
Using evocative cinematography and an original score, the documentary presents these diverse voices without seeking consensus—each topic remains an open invitation to wonder, refusing easy answers and trusting viewers to draw their own conclusions.
Content note: The film includes discussions of trauma, addiction, mental health, psychedelics, grief, and emotional healing. Some testimonies and ceremonial sequences may be emotionally intense.
Following the screening, director Leigh Brooks and guests will participate in a full question-and-answer session. You'll also receive an exclusive first look at the upcoming sequel "Sacred in the Profane," currently being filmed across the UK, Europe, and Egypt.
