Step into a mesmerising world of historical entertainment with this unique evening combining historic glass slide projections and live piano accompaniment. Renowned performers Jeremy and Carolyn Brooker from the Magic Lantern Society return for their third consecutive year with a specially crafted performance celebrating London and festive Christmas themes, performed on an authentic triple magic lantern—the most complex and spectacular form of the art form.
The evening begins with a late-view period to explore the 'Londoners on Trial' exhibition at your own pace, plus an exclusive one-night-only display of archival Christmas documents. Celebrated silent film pianist Costas Fotopoulos provides live musical accompaniment throughout the main performance. A drink and mince pie are included with your ticket. After the show ends, you'll have the chance to examine the projector mechanism up close.
