An evening of contemporary poetry featuring T.S. Eliot Prize winner Joelle Taylor alongside poet Olive Franklin. Taylor's collection C+NTO & Othered Poems won both the T.S. Eliot Prize and the Polari Book Prize; she is a former UK Poetry Slam Champion and Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature who co-hosts Out-Spoken, the monthly poetry and music night at Southbank Centre.
Franklin is a poet whose debut pamphlet Dyke Juvenilia won the Poetry London Pamphlet Competition, with work appearing in Granta, Poetry and The Poetry Review. Page of Wands, a writers' collective based at SET Social in Peckham, will also contribute readings.
Open mic slots are available on a first come, first served basis with five minutes per performer, plus complimentary drinks for participants. Tickets are redeemable against poetry books purchased on the evening. Pay-it-forward tickets and community free tickets are available—contact the venue directly if cost is a barrier.
