This in-person conference explores how communities, services and families can work together to improve children's health outcomes across England. Developed in partnership with Barnardo's and co-produced with children and young people, the event tackles urgent questions about childhood health inequality and poverty's impact on wellbeing.
The programme examines how neighbourhood health services can build stronger relationships across systems to deliver more holistic, joined-up care. Speakers will draw on real-world examples of effective partnership working, discussing how aligning services, sharing information and creating more people-centred approaches can reach children where they are and reverse declining health trends.
Central to the day are the voices of children and young people themselves, who have shaped the programme and will actively participate—engaging with speakers, sharing perspectives and challenging adults to work together for better outcomes. The conference asks critical questions: what kind of 'village' is needed to support children's health, are current 'villagers' collaborating effectively, and how can children meaningfully influence decisions about their own wellbeing and that of their communities?
